Flexible Pharmacy Consulting has an opening for a Nurse Consultant in the Knoxville, Tennessee area.

Shift Details:
- Full-Time hours
- Monday - Friday, and generally no weekends
- May start as early as 6:00 AM and end time is almost always not later than 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:
• Researches current standards, therapies, and other topics as it relates to nursing for pharmacies and long term care facilities.
• Reviews nursing home medication pass process and provide feedback.
• Performs Mar-Med Card audits, Med Records audits, Med Cart Audits, Med Room Audits, and 3-way audits in assigned facilities.
• Perform new business start-up implementations when necessary.
• Perform mock surveys.
• Must have the ability to quickly and effectively understand customer issues and challenges, and translate them into a resolution plan.
• Acts as a performance improvement resource for the pharmacy.
• Develops and maintains relationships with professional organizations and national/state agencies to enhance knowledge base relative to pharmaceutical therapies and education.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Requirements:
- Associate degree in nursing (LPN certification)
- 1-year experience as an LPN/LVN practicing in an LTC nursing facility required
- 1-year experience as an LPN/LVN practicing in an LTC nursing facility (or similar environment)
- Must have clear and active LPN Licensure in the state of employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with nursing and develop a rapport with staff and articulate required action(s) needed to conform with Federal and State regulations.
- Travel up to 90% with a willingness to fly when necessary
- Intermediate computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Travel will be reimbursed per client company policies
